NewFollowers ("NewFollowers", "we", "us") helps creators turn their Instagram reels into trial-reel variants, publishes them, and reports on the follower growth they drive. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using NewFollowers you agree to this policy.

Information we collect

  • Account details. Your email address and authentication data, managed through our authentication provider when you sign up.
  • Instagram data (with your permission).When you connect your Instagram professional account, we access — via Instagram's official API — your profile (username, name, follower/following/media counts, profile picture), your media (reels and posts, captions, thumbnails, permalinks), media and account insights (views, reach, likes, comments, shares, saves, watch time), and aggregated audience demographics (age, gender, city, country, active hours). We store your Instagram access token in encrypted form and never share it.
  • Content we generate. The trial-reel variants we create from your reels, and their scheduling and performance data.
  • Billing data. Subscription and payment records. Card details are handled by our payment processor (Stripe); we never store your full card number.
  • Usage & device data. Basic analytics such as pages viewed and actions taken, used to operate and improve the product.

How we use your information

  • To provide the service — generate, schedule, and publish trial reels on your behalf.
  • To show you analytics and attribute follower growth to the reels we post.
  • To process subscriptions and payments.
  • To secure, maintain, and improve the product, and to provide support.
  • To comply with legal obligations and the Meta Platform Terms.

How we share your information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers who process it on our behalf, under contract:

  • Meta / Instagram — to read your content and publish reels through the Instagram API.
  • Hosting & database — to run the app and store your data securely.
  • Media processing (Cloudinary) — to store and deliver the video variants we create.
  • AI processing (Google Cloud / Gemini) — to generate hook text and choose edit points for variants.
  • Payments (Stripe) — to process subscriptions.
  • Analytics / attribution — to measure conversions and improve the product.

We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights and users.

Data retention

We keep your data for as long as your account is active. When you disconnect Instagram, we delete the associated Instagram data (including your stored access token) for that workspace. When you delete your account, we delete your personal data within 30 days, except where we must retain limited records for legal, tax, or fraud-prevention purposes.

Your choices & rights

  • Disconnect Instagram at any time from Settings — this revokes our access and removes your stored token.
  • Revoke access from Instagram under Instagram Settings → Apps and Websites.
  • Access, correct, or delete your data — see our Data Deletion page or contact us.

Security

We protect your data with encryption in transit and at rest, and we encrypt Instagram access tokens at the field level. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your information using industry-standard measures.

Children

NewFollowers is not directed to anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the new version here and update the "Last updated" date above.
